Digital Designs from Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop!

Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop is one of our favorite sewing pattern and fabric shops and we talk about them a lot on this blog!

But did you know that PAB recently expanded to include digital designs for use with your Cricut or Silhouette cutting machines?

I have been requesting for quite some time that there be a homeschool themed cut file for those of us prepping to go back to school…..right at home.  I’m entering my sixth year homeschooling my children and I have to confess that I get a little bummed when I see all the teacher-themed items filling up the Dollar Spot at Target and none of it is for me.

One of the remarkable woman in my homeschool group who mentors me recently had a baby, and I wanted something that she would appreciate but that was for HER. I know that when I’m preparing to carry all my materials to homeschool co-op, I like to have a nice roomy bag to carry all my things for all my students.

For my blank, I found this great tote bag by Dalix right on Amazon! I used Siser Easy Weed Vinyl that I cut out on my Cricut Explore. I typically just buy the packs of assorted colors of vinyl whenever I’m starting to run low.

I knew the center pocket would be perfect for embellishing with HTV. The bag is available in multiple strap colors and there are even stripe variations of it.  This cute combination of a vinyl and a sturdy, functional bag, makes a nice personalized handmade item without breaking the bank…. or taking precious time from lesson planning for the upcoming year!

The only thing that I found difficult about applying my vinyl to this bag is that I did have to maneuver my iron around the edges of the straps. I’m hoping that the newly-announced Cricut Easy Press will make it’s way to my home soon for easier vinyl application!

When the Digital Design Shop was launched, I was out of town, so I did not get to share two of my other favorite PAB digital files.

Amy has taken some of her most popular panel designs from past rounds and is selling the graphic as a cut file. I love that I can now customize the size and color of some of my favorite past panels like this Crazy Hair, Don’t Care one!

Gold always looks great on ombre, no?

I also experimented with doing two different layers of vinyl for the first time on the popular Love You to the Moon and Back file.  I think my misconception when I first started using my Cricut to cut vinyl was that using a specific design limited my creativity. You can see though if you look through the listing photos, these files can be customized for several different uses!

The skies the limit with digital designs exclusive to Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop!

Tell me in the comments which design is your favorite and where you will use it! I love hearing from our readers and can’t wait to see what you make! Tag me on Instagram so I can see more!

Love the bag! The letter font with the styling on the bag looks so polished.
