Rocky Mountain Raglan for Men from Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop!

Good morning, sewing friends!

This morning, I want to introduce you to my favorite person in the world, my husband. My husband is a great guy and has been super supportive of this blogging adventure, the big boxes of fabric, and the bursts of sewing. He has also been behind the camera for me when I’ve been modeling my women’s articles of clothing and I am so grateful for his willingness to learn some photography skills alongside me.

I recently tested the Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop Rocky Mountain Raglan. I signed up for this test because my husband is 6’10” and always in need of basics. We used to easily be able to find a limited selection of “large extra tall” clothing (not to be confused with “extra large tall”) at JCP, but that has disappeared over the years during their rebranding efforts. So now, I have been doomed to play “catch and release” shopping with him. Do you ever play “catch and release” shopping? That’s when you order anything that possibly seems like it might work, and keep the one thing that kind of sort of works and send everything else back.

Do you want to know what’s quicker when you’re in my situation? Having a stash of great wardrobe building patterns and an excellent source of basic fabrics. From cut to finish, I can cut, sew, serge, and hem these raglan tees in about an hour. No more long Internet searches, no more trips to the post office to return what doesn’t fit, and no more trying to decide whether or not something is too short.

Buy Rocky Mountain Raglan, order some Peek-a-Boo Fabric Solids, print pattern, cut, and sew. This is an excellent assembly line sew. I made two more yesterday in about an hour and a half since I already had my pattern printed, taped, and adjusted to include 3″ inches of length for my 6’10” husband. I also originally lengthened the short sleeves a bit, but we decided we preferred the length on the original sleeve piece.

This Rocky Mountain raglan is a size large made with cotton lycra solid in white and cotton lycra solid in green. Both fabrics are from my main source of affordable solids, Peek-a-Boo Fabric Shop. What’s even better? Today, you can grab the pattern on sale for 15% off ($8.50 only) AND take advantage of the Cinco De Mayo sale with Peek-a-Boo Fabric Shop! unnamed

Genie also tested the Rocky Mountain Raglan in the first round of testing (yes, this went through two rounds of testing to get the best fit). Her husband also loves his! The pattern includes 3 sleeve lengths (short, 3/4, and long). Genie’s husband is rocking the long sleeves in this shot.
