Roly Poly Romper

As if this week needed to get any better (if you haven’t been on the blog lately, we have been busy bees and there are some amazing sews posted over the past few weeks!), Alisha and I both got to test Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop’s newest pattern, the Roly Poly Romper. Available in sizes preemie through 24 months, the romper features a snap placket from collar to crotch, two sleeve and pant lengths, a bubble option, and super cute gathered sleeves or legs. The pattern can also be sewn in knit or woven fabric.

Alisha’s first is a bubble romper made with a beautiful Art Gallery woven. The 6 month size fit her daughter perfectly, and the bubble shape gives her lots of wiggle room.

Having a full snap placket makes it so easy for dressing and undressing, and also quick diaper changes.

I made my guy a plain romper, with shorts and short sleeves in an 18 month.

The mustaches are a Birch organic knit, and the red is Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop’s basic red cotton lycra. I love, love, love rompers on a baby! They are so cute, and soooo easy!

The way the placket is designed makes a great opportunity for contrasting topstitching. It makes a great accent.

And there’s plenty of room for playing! I know I’ll be making many more of these!

Finally, Alisha made a version with the pants in a pretty floral from Hobby Lobby. One of the great features of this snap placket are marks for snap placement in each size, eliminating the guesswork!

The Roly Poly Romper has the options and quality we’ve come to expect from PAB patterns. The instructions are concise and well written, and the fit is spot on. As the newest release, it will be on sale Thursday, June 29 only. Don’t miss out!
