Happy Mama Joy release day!
Joy is the newest addition to the Made for Mermaids Dreamy collection, and Mama Joy is the very first Mama version!
Here’s a secret: I haven’t worn ANYTHING knee length in years. When I saw the testing call, I was so excited. Just like that, I had a vision of what I wanted to do with the pattern and what fabric I wanted to do it with, and my knees came out of retirement.

#madebygenie here, and I chose to make Cheyenne’s Ultimate Ruffle Tshirt and Emilya’s Skinny Pants, Capris, & Bermuda Shorts for my rising first grader. She loves to run, play, jump, and hang upside down, and so skirts are just not an option for playground fun. The outfit we came up with is as comfy as it is fun & stylish!
I had a baby on February 26. In addition to all my feelings of joy (I am so blessed in my husband and three children), another thought soon began racing through my head:

It was still chilly up here in Michigan at the time, but I knew this was going to be a spring/summer hit with my little girl, and I had some wovens from Hobby Lobby stashed that I was excited to use for it.
