A few days ago, wind chill values in my neck of the words were 50 degrees Fahrenheit BELOW zero. Yes, you read that correctly.
So what does a rational woman do in this circumstance? She signs up to test an adorable swimsuit for her little girl!
It has been awhile since I’ve tested a pattern. Lately, while I’ve been creating a lot and working on various projects around my house, I just haven’t had time to do a test with a deadline. But who could pass up this cuteness? Now you don’t need to wait any longer to sew a cute suit or leo for your girl! The Swan Lake Leotard and Swimsuit has released and is available for purchase at the release price of $6.75 today (1/19).
Just because I’m sometimes quiet on the blog doesn’t mean I’ve stopped creating! During all of my holiday sewing this year, I had time to make a new favorite shirt! Â This is the Love Notions Willow Wrap top. The Willow Wrap top includes a straight and asymmetrical hem options. The top has an optional modesty panel and is very nursing friendly. Â And, as a bonus, I used one of Art Gallery Fabrics newest lines to create this look for their lookbook!

Joy is the newest addition to the Made for Mermaids Dreamy collection, and Mama Joy is the very first Mama version!
Here’s a secret: I haven’t worn ANYTHING knee length in years. When I saw the testing call, I was so excited. Just like that, I had a vision of what I wanted to do with the pattern and what fabric I wanted to do it with, and my knees came out of retirement.
Today I’m happy to share with you the newest release from Mummykins and Me – the Paris Party Dress. The timing is perfect – there is still time to sew up one or two of these before the holidays! While the title may have the word ‘dress’ in it, this pattern includes much more than that! There are multiple options for a skirt and top, in addition to the option to sew the two together – especially useful for very little ones. I tested the basic three-quarter length sleeve top with a simple neckband and the knee length skirt with a back elastic option.

Several weeks ago, I went to quilt market with the fabulous Katie from Simple Life Pattern Company. It was an amazing and inspiring trip! I came home with lots of ideas and inspiration to bring to my sewing room. I imagine as I add more of my Market inspired projects to the blog I will share more, but for now, I will focus on this new project.
