Welcome to The Swimsuit Edition Tour hosted by Lulu and Celeste and Sprouting Jube Jube Productions! I LOVE sewing swimsuits and today I’m sharing something that I made for myself for a change! My daughter’s swimsuits were finished last month, and so this month I decided it was time to attempt something totally different – a maternity swimsuit! I knew when I saw this striped pineapple swim fabric from Peekaboo Fabric Shop that it would be perfect for something for me – although I totally should have ordered more because my daughter fell in love with it after she saw my swimsuit and it looks like it is currently sold out already! Back to school shopping is so iconic. It brings back so many memories of trips with my mom and grandmothers before school started. Do you remember that feeling you got when you picked the perfect outfit for the first day? And then the feeling you got when you started second guessing it? 😉 Since my kids have gone to private school (uniforms) and been homeschooled, we’ve kind of missed out on that. Are you still pumped for our Swimsuit Sewing Challenge 2016? I still am! I have yet another suit to share with you today.
This is my version of the 5 out of 4 Patterns Journey Tank and Dress worn as a tankini top!
I have been sewing a lot lately (probably too much) but I couldn’t pass up testing this adorable dress and tank by 5 out of 4. The 5 out of 4 Patterns started popping up in my sewing newsfeed frequently last summer as being awesome for nursing mothers and maternity. However, I knew I was winding down with the nursing stage of my life for now and I am not currently expecting. Continue Reading
