You have probably heard me mention this before on the blog: Katarina Roccella’s Skopelos line was the line that drew me to the fabulous Art Gallery Fabrics. I think every AGF fan has a particular collection that spoke to them….. and then made them obsessed.
But this post is about beautiful In Blue fabrics. I’m linking up with several other talented bloggers to showcase this beautiful blue-themed collection in a blog tour hosted by Cassy from Pear Berry Lane. Continue Reading
Love Notions Bluezette is a pattern that I’ve been wanting to try and I’m so excited that I had an excuse to use it! With five skirt options, two bodice choices, and three sleeve lengths, there are so many ways you can put one together. In fact, I ended up making two, and they are going to get so much use this summer.
The dress is designed for knits, but any of the gathered skirt options will work with lighter, drapey fabric choices, and I knew right away that I wanted to use the amazing Art Gallery Rayon in Swifting Flora Boho I’d been hoarding (it’s so soft, and was a dream to sew). Continue Reading
I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I made my first Love Notions Tidal Dress! Recently, the generous people at Art Gallery Fabrics sent me some of their beautiful new Charleston collection by Amy Sinibaldi to make another Tidal.
Since my previous Tidals have been made featuring 2 prints, I decided to showcase how the Tidal looks in just one bold print. I think the look really suits my style! And hint: Love Notions is running a Mother’s Day Sale right now: 25% off all single patterns using code: motherslove. This sale is good through Monday so now is a good time to shop! Continue Reading

I have been so excited to write a blog post about these two patterns and I finally can!
When I went to Quilt Market last fall, I had the pleasure of meeting Lindsey from Sew to Grow Patterns. Lindsay is a talented pattern designer and sewing instructor living in Australia. I love following her Instagram to see where she will go next.
When Art Gallery Fabrics asked me to sew up some women’s rayon looks for their Fusions lookbook, I contacted Lindsay since I immediately thought of her beautiful Bondi Top as suitable for flowy fabrics like Art Gallery’s newest substrate rayon. I used the Millefiori print designed by Pat Bravo Designs. I think this is actually the first WOVEN top I’ve made for myself on my sewing journey and it’s love! Continue Reading

I had a crazy weekend here – it was the good kind of love-filled family crazy surrounding a special occasion. But that is for another post. However, when these visits end, I am always in need of a little alone time at my machine to decompress from all the hostessing (and then sadness) when our guests leave. Continue Reading
Hola! I am proud to be a stop on the Fiesta Fun Fabrics blog tour today!
Last fall, I had the privilege of attending Quilt Market with Simple Life Pattern Company. Right before market, I started seeing sneaks of the Fiesta Fun fabric line by Dana Willard. I drooled over the swatches and waited anxiously for this line to be released.
I actually made a few things for the look book when the line released such as this Simple Life Pattern Company Sophie. Continue Reading
I (Alisha) have been quite quiet over here on the blog for quite a few months. I hope you missed me! I have a wonderful reason for being so quiet. We are expecting baby #5 in about 8 weeks! Right now I have 4 boys, ages 9, 7, 6, and 3, and we are very excited to announce that we are expecting a little girl! It was shocking news that I’m not sure I’ll believe until I actually see her!
Getting to sew little girl clothes has been so much fun! Caroline Hulse of Sew Caroline, a designer for Art Gallery Fabrics, provided me with some beautiful designs from her Chalk and Paint collection to sew up for my new little girl. Continue Reading
