A New Take on a Onesie from Peekaboo Pattern Shop!

Can you really have too many bodysuits for your babies?
That’s a trick question because the answer is no. No you can’t!
Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop is expanding their Lullaby Line with the Cardigan Bodysuit.

This bodysuit (or onesie, if you prefer) has the look of a classic cardigan with the diaper-changing ease of a snap placket at the crotch. The pattern fits sizes newborn through 4t, and the newborn size will fit most 18″ dolls. There is an option for a faux undershirt, and a short sleeve or long sleeve with cuffs.

Genie choose to make her little man’s with comfy cotton lycra from the Peek-a-boo Pattern Shop. The stripe is from the Knit Basics collection (Yarn Dyed 3/8″ Gray & White Stripe, and it was a lovely fabric. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a bargain line of fabric, but this is a nice weight, soft, and has great recovery. The blue can be found here.

Alisha tested the 4T size for her 3 year old little guy. While he is potty-trained, this is definitely a size that will fit kids who potty train later. She used a Peek-a-boo custom print (which is sold out in green but still available in red!) along with the solid black cotton lycra from PAB.

The attached undershirt makes for quick and easy dressing and a fun layered look without the extra bulk!

Also don’t let the buttons scare you off! It’s a faux placket so no buttonholes are required. The buttons or snaps are attached through both layers of the band. Alisha chose to use snaps on her placket, and Genie chose buttons for totally different looks. You will need snaps for the placket at the crotch. We both love these Kam Snaps from Amazon!
